Native American Language App Features Four Indigenous Languages

In keeping with the trend of learning languages through technological means, a new app from Apple teaches young and adult learners the Diné, Lakota, Mvskoke (Muscogee Creek) and Ponca languages.

The Native American Language App is a great way to begin learning one of four different Indigenous languages. The app features colorful images of animals to make learning fun for young students. All words are spoken by fluent or second generation speakers, offering authentic pronunciation to create the best basic learning experience. Animal names are printed in both English and the Indigenous language, allowing for easy learning. While there are some differences of opinion over pronunciation, the app is a great way to begin learning Native American languages.

The app is free and available here.
